fairTAUSCHEN – Don’t let them fade – let us trade

    In our English lessons we recently stumbled across climate change. We specifically took a closer look at waste avoidance:  for example we discussed how we could use less packaging and reuse plastic and other items to reduce waste.

    We decided that we also want to make a change and want to stop people from throwing away stuff they don’t need anymore, but that`s still too good to be thrown away. That’s why we thought of a project we could realise so that it’s easier for people to trade those things they don’t need anymore for something that is new to them but isn’t needed by somebody else no longer.

    That’s where we want to present you fairTAUSCHEN,

    which is all about trading. You are allowed to bring up to five items like books, toys, clothes, kitchen gadgets, jewellery, decoration and so on. You just deposit them at the entrance and get some ‘coins’ in exchange. With those coins you can ‘buy’ any item(s) you want afterwards. The goal of this is to have many different people trading different things so that those items don’t have to be thrown away. An important aspect is that these objects have to be new, as good as new or still unused. There’s no need to worry – if you want to try on clothes, you can do so in our wardrobe.

    We hope that this idea appeals to you and that we’re going to have a lot of visitors that will go home happily with new things they like.

    Da hat man sich schon wieder ein neues Buch gekauft und es dann doch nicht gelesen. Haben wir nicht alle Dinge Zuhause liegen, die man noch nie benutzt hat, die noch neuwertig oder sehr gut erhalten sind?

    Unsere Aktion ermöglicht es euch, diese Dinge bei uns gegen andere ungenutzte oder neuwertige Gegenstände, die eher euren Interessen entsprechen, einzutauschen.

    Da wir uns im Englischunterricht mit dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit beschäftigen, haben wir beschlossen, auch etwas zur Nachhaltigkeit beizutragen. Alle übrig gebliebenen Sachen werden für wohltätige Zwecke gespendet.

    Natürlich ist jeder herzlich willkommen, der am 7. Juni zwischen 15 und 17 Uhr Zeit und Interesse hat, an unserem Tauschhandel in der Mensa des Graf-Stauffenberg-Gymnasiums teilzunehmen. Es dürfen pro Person bis zu maximal 5 Gegenstände mitgebracht werden.
